Physiotherapy Services in Guiseley
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Guiseley premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Guiseley is a town in the City of Leeds district, part of the Aireborough area north-west of the city. It sits between the Aire and Wharfe valleys, with Otley Chevin rising just to the north.
Harry Ramsden opened his first fish and chip shop at White Cross in Guiseley in 1928, and the site remains well known. St Oswald's Church, with Norman origins, is where Patrick Brontë married Maria Branwell in 1812.
Nunroyd Park has open lawns and paths beside Guiseley Beck, and Otley Road and Oxford Road hold the main shops. Guiseley AFC play at Nethermoor, close to the centre.
Housing includes stone terraces and cottages, Victorian villas, inter-war semis and larger post-war estates such as Tranmere Park. Many homes are built on slopes with steps up from the road.
NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board commissions care. Guiseley patients are usually treated at Leeds General Infirmary, St James's or Airedale General Hospital, and our private physiotherapy continues at home after discharge.
Guiseley station is on the Wharfedale line, with trains to Leeds, Bradford and Ilkley. Common goals include walking to the shops on Otley Road, round Nunroyd Park or onto the lower paths towards the Chevin.
Nunroyd Park's main paths are flat and well surfaced, so it is often the first outdoor loop we plan after surgery.
The climb towards the Chevin is steep, so we treat it as a later goal and practise hills and steps beforehand.

Specialist home-based rehabilitation to improve movement, strength, balance and independence for people living with neurological conditions.

Helping older adults maintain mobility, strength and independence safely at home.
