Physiotherapy Services in Halesowen
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Halesowen premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Halesowen sits on the southern edge of the Black Country, in Dudley borough, where the River Stour runs below steep streets lined with terraces and inter-war semis. The ruins of Halesowen Abbey, founded in the early thirteenth century, lie just outside the town, and the Leasowes, the eighteenth-century landscape garden created by the poet William Shenstone, is now a public park beside the golf course.
Few places in the West Midlands are as hilly. The town centre around the Cornbow shopping centre and St John the Baptist church sits on a slope, and roads climb sharply towards Hasbury, Hayley Green and Lapal. Older houses often have steep front paths and steps down to the road, and the back gardens of many semis drop away towards the valley.
Halesowen lost its railway station decades ago, so buses are the main public transport, with frequent services to Birmingham, Dudley and the Merry Hill centre. For people getting back on their feet, a realistic early target is often the walk to the nearest bus stop, then a ride into the centre and a lap of the shops.
The Clent Hills rise to the south, with wide views across the Black Country, and the Leasowes has walks of different lengths. Both suit people at a later stage of recovery who want a proper outdoor goal rather than repeating the same lap of the street.
The Black Country Integrated Care Board plans NHS services for the area, and acute care for most residents is at Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley. Our visits are private and work alongside whatever the hospital or community physiotherapists have already set up, so nothing they started needs to be thrown away.

Helping active people recover from sports injuries and safely return to sport and performance.

Rehabilitation of bones, joints, muscles and ligaments following injury, surgery or degenerative change.
