We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Hythe premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Hythe is a small coastal town in Kent, between Folkestone and Romney Marsh. One of the original Cinque Ports, it has an old town climbing the hillside above a long shingle beach and promenade.
The Royal Military Canal, dug during the Napoleonic Wars as a defence against invasion, cuts across Hythe from end to end, with a tree-lined towpath perfect for flat, peaceful walking. Every other summer the Venetian Fete fills the canal with decorated floats.
St Leonard's Church on the hill has a famous crypt ossuary lined with hundreds of skulls and bones, and Saltwood Castle stands just inland. The miniature Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway starts here, with small steam engines running across the marsh to Dungeness.
Homes range from narrow Georgian and Victorian houses on the steep old-town streets to seafront flats, bungalows in Palmarsh and family homes in Saltwood. Steep lanes between the High Street and the hillside church can be a real challenge.
East Kent Hospitals provides services, with the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for surgery and emergencies and community care in Folkestone. Many retired residents prefer therapy at home.
Popular goals include walking the canal towpath, strolling the promenade, or riding the miniature railway with grandchildren.

Specialist home-based rehabilitation to improve movement, strength, balance and independence for people living with neurological conditions.

Helping older adults maintain mobility, strength and independence safely at home.

Safe, structured recovery after surgery to restore strength, mobility and function at home.
