Physiotherapy Services in Kilsyth
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Kilsyth premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Kilsyth is a town in North Lanarkshire, set at the foot of the Kilsyth Hills roughly midway between Glasgow and Stirling. The steep green slopes of the Campsie and Kilsyth range form the backdrop to much of the town.
The Colzium Lennox Estate on the eastern edge has a walled garden, an ice house, woodland paths and the restored Colzium House. A short drive south, the marina at Auchinstarry sits on the Forth and Clyde Canal beside a flooded former quarry popular with climbers.
Burngreen Park, with its bandstand and burn-side paths, lies right in the centre, and Main Street and Market Square hold the everyday shops. The Battle of Kilsyth was fought nearby in 1645, and a memorial cairn marks the site.
Much of the housing is stone terraces and tenements near the centre, with council-built estates and newer private homes towards Balmalloch and the Croy road. Many older properties have outside steps and sloping gardens because of the hillside.
NHS Lanarkshire and the North Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership provide statutory services. Kilsyth patients are usually treated at University Hospital Monklands in Airdrie, and we continue rehabilitation at home once someone is discharged.
Croy station, just south of the town, is on the main Glasgow to Edinburgh line, and buses run to Cumbernauld and Glasgow. Common aims include walking to Market Square, round Burngreen Park or along the canal towpath at Auchinstarry.
The canal towpath between Auchinstarry and Twechar is wide and almost completely level, which makes it ideal for lengthening walks in measured stages after a hip or knee operation.
The Colzium walled garden has firm paths and plenty of benches, so it is often the first proper outdoor walk we plan with patients who have lost confidence after a fall.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.
