Physiotherapy Services in Lees
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Lees premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Lees is a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, on the road between Oldham town centre and Saddleworth. It grew as a cotton spinning community, and its terraced rows sit against the rising Pennine foothills.
The High Street holds a compact run of shops, pubs and takeaways, with St John's Church nearby. Springhead and Grotton continue the built-up area eastwards before the land climbs towards the open moors.
Views from the higher roads reach across Oldham and Greater Manchester, and Hartshead Pike stands on the hilltop to the south. Saddleworth's reservoirs and villages are a short drive further east.
Housing is mainly stone and brick terraces from the mill era, with inter-war semis, post-war estates and newer homes on former mill sites. Steep side roads and narrow staircases are very common.
NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board commissions care, delivered locally through Oldham. Lees patients are usually treated at the Royal Oldham Hospital, and our private physiotherapy continues their recovery at home.
Frequent buses run along the main road to Oldham and Saddleworth, and Greenfield station on the Huddersfield line is close by. Typical aims include walking along the High Street, to St John's or to a favourite local pub.
Because Lees is built on a hillside, most early walks start on the flatter High Street before we tackle the steeper roads up to Grotton.
Many mill-era houses open straight onto the pavement with a single step, so getting safely in and out of the front door is often an early target.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.
