We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Magherafelt is a market town in south County Londonderry, part of the Mid Ulster district. It was developed in the seventeenth century by the Salters’ Company of London during the Plantation of Ulster, and its wide Broad Street still reflects that planned layout. The Rainey Endowed School, founded in 1713, is one of the town’s oldest institutions.
The area is closely linked with the poet Seamus Heaney, who was born near Castledawson and grew up on a farm nearby. The Seamus Heaney HomePlace arts centre in Bellaghy celebrates his life and work. The Sperrin Mountains rise to the west, and the shores of Lough Neagh, the largest lake in the British Isles, are just to the east.
Magherafelt is mostly level in the centre, with gentle slopes on some streets. Meadowbank Sports Arena hosts sport and leisure activities, and parks around the town offer short walks. Housing ranges from older terraces near Broad Street to large modern estates and bungalows on the outskirts.
The Northern Health and Social Care Trust provides health and social care. The Mid Ulster Hospital in Magherafelt offers some local services, while emergencies and surgery are usually at Antrim Area Hospital. Our private home physiotherapy fits around that care after discharge.
Common goals include walking to Broad Street, going to Mass or church, and getting back to farm work or the garden. Many patients live in rural homes outside the town, where uneven yards and steps are part of everyday life.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.
