Physiotherapy Services in Newport Pagnell
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Newport Pagnell premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Newport Pagnell is an old market town on the northern edge of Milton Keynes, set where the River Ouzel joins the Great Ouse. It kept its own character when the new city grew up around it, and the long High Street still has independent shops, pubs and coaching inns.
Tickford Bridge, the cast-iron span over the Ouzel completed in 1810, is among the oldest iron bridges in the world still carrying road traffic. Aston Martin built cars on Tickford Street for decades, and the works remain part of the town's identity.
Bury Field, a large open common beside the Ouse, is popular for dog walking and gentle strolls. Lovat Meadow nature reserve lies close to the river, and the Railway Walk follows the former Wolverton branch line west towards Great Linford on a smooth, level surface.
Housing mixes listed cottages and Victorian terraces near the High Street with 1960s and 1970s estates and newer developments towards the M1. Many homes have narrow staircases or split levels, so we look closely at how each person moves around their own layout.
Care is commissioned by NHS Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board. Most local patients are treated at Milton Keynes University Hospital, and after discharge we pick up their rehabilitation privately at home.
Buses run frequently to Central Milton Keynes and on towards Olney, and Milton Keynes Central is the nearest main line station. People here often want to walk the High Street again, reach Bury Field or join friends on the Railway Walk.
Because the Railway Walk is flat and wide, it is one of our favourite routes for building walking time after a knee or hip operation, with natural turning points at the bridges along the way.
The grass on Bury Field can be soft and uneven after rain, so we use it later as practice for ankle control and confidence on rougher surfaces.

Helping people living with persistent or complex pain improve function and quality of life.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.
