We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Oban premises to walk into. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Oban is a busy harbour town in Argyll and Bute on the west coast of Scotland, often called the gateway to the Isles. Ferries sail from its terminal to Mull, Lismore, Coll, Tiree, Barra and beyond.
McCaig's Tower, a granite colosseum-like structure built in the 1890s, crowns the hill above the town, and Dunollie Castle stands on the headland to the north. Oban Distillery sits right in the town centre.
The Corran Esplanade curves along the bay towards Ganavan Sands, providing a level seafront walk, while the town's back streets climb steeply. Pulpit Hill gives one of the best viewpoints over the bay.
Homes include Victorian villas, tenements, post-war estates and newer housing in Soroba and Dunbeg. Many sit on sloping ground with steps.
NHS Highland provides care, and the Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership organises community services. Oban patients are usually treated at the Lorn and Islands Hospital, and we provide private physiotherapy at home after discharge.
Oban station has trains to Glasgow. Goals include walking the Esplanade, climbing to McCaig's Tower or catching a ferry.
The Oban War and Peace Museum on the Corran Esplanade, the North Pier and the Atlantis Leisure centre are familiar destinations, and the walk out to Dunollie and its museum is a much-loved local route. McCaig's Tower above the town and the Corran Halls are familiar landmarks, and the level esplanade walk out towards Dunollie Castle gives a well-loved recovery route.
