Physiotherapy Services in Rochford
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Rochford premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Rochford is a small market town in south-east Essex, set on the River Roach just north of Southend. Its centre is built around Market Square, with four old streets leading off it lined with listed buildings, independent shops and pubs.
Rochford Hall, a Tudor house linked to the Boleyn family, stands near the parish church of St Andrew and the golf course. Anne Boleyn is said to have spent time there, and the church's red brick tower is visible from across the fields.
Rochford is mostly level, which helps people regaining their confidence on foot. The streets around Market Square are compact, so walking to a café or the shops is a realistic early goal after surgery or a stroke.
Homes range from old cottages and Victorian terraces near the centre to post-war estates in Ashingdon and Hawkwell. We often help people with steep stairs, small bathrooms and getting up from low furniture.
Rochford is covered by NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board. Residents are usually treated at Southend University Hospital, and once they are discharged we can continue rehabilitation privately at home.
The station on the line from Southend Victoria to London has direct trains to the city, and London Southend Airport sits just outside town. Getting to the station or catching a bus are practical goals we often work towards.
The River Roach and its creeks lead out to marshes and farmland, with footpaths towards Stambridge and Canewdon. These routes can be muddy and uneven, so we save them for later in recovery.
Many older residents in the villages live on quiet lanes without pavements, and we prepare them for verges, gates and gravel drives before they head out alone.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.

Personalised, evidence-based nutrition and dietetic support delivered in the comfort of your home by an HCPC-registered dietitian.
