Physiotherapy Services in Rosehearty
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Rosehearty premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Rosehearty is a small fishing village on the north coast of Aberdeenshire, along the coast west of Fraserburgh. Local tradition holds that it is one of the oldest fishing settlements in Scotland.
Low cottages built gable-end to the sea line its streets, designed to shelter from the northern winds. Their small rooms and single steps at the door shape the exercises we plan.
The harbour and the old seawater swimming pool sit at the edge of the village. A short level walk along the front to the pool is a pleasant and achievable early target.
The ruins of Pitsligo Castle stand just inland, once home to the Forbes lords of Pitsligo. The track up to them is uneven, so it is better kept for clients further along in recovery.
Planned surgery for this coast is usually carried out at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, with Fraserburgh Hospital providing local care. Once home, we continue rehabilitation where you are most comfortable.
Sea wind and cold can make outdoor exercise hard for much of the year. We give clients a home programme that keeps progress going on days when going out is not appealing.
Sandhaven and Pittulie lie just east along the shore, with their own small harbours and rows of fishermen's houses. The coast road between them is flat but exposed.
New Aberdour, to the west, sits above a sandy bay reached down a sharply sloping lane. That descent and climb make it a challenging route for strong walkers only.
Tyrie and Memsie are farming communities on the rolling land inland, with scattered houses and few pavements. For clients there, garden and driveway practice often comes first.
Fraserburgh, the nearby harbour town, has the main shops and services. Being able to travel there for errands is a frequent goal once mobility improves.

Safe, structured recovery after surgery to restore strength, mobility and function at home.

Expert assessment and treatment of muscle, joint, bone and soft tissue (MSK) conditions at home.

Helping active people recover from sports injuries and safely return to sport and performance.
