Royal Wootton Bassett lies on a ridge just west of Swindon, in the north of Wiltshire. It received its royal title in 2011 in recognition of the townspeople who lined the High Street to honour the repatriation of fallen service personnel.
The seventeenth-century town hall, raised on stone pillars in the middle of the High Street, is the town's best-known building. The wide High Street around it holds most of the shops and cafes.
Getting to the High Street from home is often one of the first outdoor goals people set. The street is broad and fairly level, with benches and places to rest along the way.
Royal Wootton Bassett belongs to NHS BSW Integrated Care Board, with most patients treated at the Great Western Hospital beside the M4 at Swindon. Our private visits can continue rehabilitation at home.
Older stone houses line the High Street and Church Street, with post-war estates and large modern developments around Vowley and Coped Hall. Newer homes tend to have easier layouts, though many have stairs to bedrooms.
Lydiard Park, with its country house, lake and woodland, lies just to the east. Its paths are a lovely setting for longer walks once someone is ready.
The Jubilee Lake on the edge of the town has a circular path and is popular for short, gentle walks. Junction 16 of the M4 is just south, and most residents rely on cars.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.
