Physiotherapy Services in Silsden
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Silsden premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Silsden is a small town in the City of Bradford district, in the Aire valley between Keighley and Skipton. It was historically known for nail-making, and stone mills still line Silsden Beck.
The Leeds and Liverpool Canal passes along the edge of the town, with moored boats and a level towpath. Kirkgate and Bridge Street hold local shops and cafés.
Moorland rises steeply to the north towards Rombalds Moor and Addingham. Silsden Reservoir sits above the town, popular with walkers.
Housing includes stone terraces, cottages, newer estates and some bungalows. Many streets are steep, rising from the canal to the moor edge.
NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board commissions care. Silsden patients are usually treated at Airedale General Hospital across the valley, and we provide private physiotherapy at home.
Steeton and Silsden station is on the Airedale line, with trains to Leeds, Bradford and Skipton. Typical aims include walking along Kirkgate, to the canal or to the station.
The canal towpath is flat and quiet, which suits early walks after surgery.
Steep roads up to the moor are best tackled later, after slope practice.
Silsden Park, the Town Hall on Kirkgate and the old Waterloo Mills are other useful markers for walking practice, and Hothfield Street and Bolton Road hold further shops. The towpath east towards Kildwick and its swing bridges gives a longer flat route once stamina allows.

Specialist home-based rehabilitation to improve movement, strength, balance and independence for people living with neurological conditions.
