Physiotherapy Services in Skegness
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Skegness premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Skegness is a seaside resort on the Lincolnshire coast, in the East Lindsey district, famous for its slogan Skegness is SO bracing and the Jolly Fisherman poster. The resort grew after the railway arrived in 1873, and the first Butlin's holiday camp opened at nearby Ingoldmells in 1936. Millions still visit each summer for the sandy beach, the pier and the amusements.
The seafront, with the Clock Tower, the Embassy Theatre and the Grand Parade, is flat and wide, and Tower Gardens offers lawns and level paths away from the crowds. Lumley Road is the main shopping street. Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, just south of town, has boardwalks and paths across dunes and salt marsh.
Many people retire to Skegness and the coast, often moving into bungalows or park homes, so falls, frailty and joint replacements are common reasons for referral. Winters can be quiet and isolating, and staying active matters for keeping independence.
Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board plans NHS services. Skegness patients are mostly treated at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, with some services at Skegness Hospital. Our private home physiotherapy picks up after people are discharged.
Skegness station has trains to Boston, Grantham and Nottingham, and buses link the coastal villages. Patients often want to walk the seafront again, get to Lumley Road or manage the train to visit family.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.
