Physiotherapy Services in Soham
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Soham premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Soham is a small town in East Cambridgeshire, on the edge of the Fens between Ely and Newmarket. The tall tower of St Andrew's church rises over the town centre, and the High Street and Fountain Lane have local shops and cafés.
The town has a long history linked to Saint Felix, who founded a monastery here in the seventh century. Downfield Windmill, a working mill, still grinds flour and is one of several windmills that once stood around the town.
Soham is almost entirely flat, which helps people who are regaining their confidence on their feet. The commons around the town, such as Qua Fen Common, offer open green spaces for gentle walks once balance improves.
Housing includes old cottages near the centre, post-war estates and many newer homes built as the town has grown. We often help people with stairs, bathroom access and getting up from low chairs.
Soham falls within NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care Board. Residents are usually treated at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, and after discharge we can continue rehabilitation privately at home.
The railway station reopened in 2021, with trains to Ely and Cambridge. Getting to the station or catching the bus to Newmarket is a practical goal for many people recovering after surgery.
Wicken Fen, one of the oldest nature reserves in the country, lies nearby, with boardwalks and level paths through reed beds. Fordham and Isleham are villages surrounded by farmland and fen droves.
The open fen can be windy and exposed, so we plan outdoor practice for calmer days and teach people how to rest safely when walking further.

Expert assessment and treatment of muscle, joint, bone and soft tissue (MSK) conditions at home.

Helping active people recover from sports injuries and safely return to sport and performance.

Rehabilitation of bones, joints, muscles and ligaments following injury, surgery or degenerative change.
