Physiotherapy Services in South Cave
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no South Cave premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
South Cave is a large village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, set where the chalk Yorkshire Wolds meet the low land beside the Humber. It once held a market charter and still has a small market square.
Cave Castle, a Gothic-style mansion now used as a hotel and golf club, stands in parkland at the edge of the village. Its grounds give a pleasant sense of space.
The Yorkshire Wolds Way passes close to the village on its route north from the Humber. Short gentle sections near South Cave make an attractive later target for walkers.
Most of the village streets are level near the centre and rise towards the Wolds on the western side. We plan walking routes to suit the slope near your home.
Orthopaedic and general surgery for this area take place mainly at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham and Hull Royal Infirmary. We continue your care at home once you are discharged.
Housing ranges from old brick cottages to modern estates with wider doorways. Each brings different challenges, from steep stairs to long driveways.
North Cave, just to the north, has a wetland nature reserve with level gravel paths. It is a favourite for clients building their walking stamina.
Brantingham and Ellerker lie to the south-east in a wooded dale of the Wolds. Their lanes are narrow and hilly, so they suit clients later in recovery.
Elloughton and Brough sit near the Humber with shops, a railway station and level streets. Travelling by train from Brough is a practical goal for some.
North Newbald, up on the Wolds, has a Norman church and a large green. Clients there often begin by walking short circuits around the green.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.
