Physiotherapy Services in St Andrews
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no St Andrews premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
St Andrews, on the coast of north-east Fife, is known around the world as the home of golf, with the Old Course and the Royal and Ancient clubhouse beside the West Sands. The University of St Andrews, founded in 1413, is the oldest in Scotland, and the ruins of the medieval cathedral and castle stand on the cliffs above the harbour.
The old town is laid out along three main streets, North Street, Market Street and South Street, with narrow wynds and cobbles that can be tricky for people with walking aids. Homes range from historic townhouses with steep stairs to Victorian villas in Hepburn Gardens and modern estates on the western edge of town.
The West Sands, where the opening of Chariots of Fire was filmed, offer flat walking on firm sand and along the path behind the dunes, and the Lade Braes walk follows the Kinness Burn through a wooded valley. St Andrews has no railway station; Leuchars, a short bus ride away, has trains to Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen.
NHS Fife provides hospital care, with St Andrews Community Hospital offering local services and the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy handling acute treatment, though many people go to Ninewells in Dundee. Fife Health and Social Care Partnership arranges community services, and our private home visits sit alongside them.
Many patients are retired golfers or academics keen to get back on the links or to their usual walks. We tailor sessions to those goals.

Rehabilitation of bones, joints, muscles and ligaments following injury, surgery or degenerative change.
