Physiotherapy Services in St Asaph
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no St Asaph premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
St Asaph is a small city in Denbighshire, set on a ridge between the rivers Elwy and Clwyd. It was granted city status in 2012, although its cathedral has stood here for many centuries.
St Asaph Cathedral is one of the smallest ancient cathedrals in Britain. A memorial outside honours William Morgan, who translated the entire Bible into Welsh in 1588.
The High Street runs steeply downhill from the cathedral to the bridge over the Elwy. That slope is a useful test of strength, so we usually approach it in stages.
The Elwy riverside has a level path and green space near the bridge. It is one of the most comfortable places in the city for building walking time.
Glan Clwyd Hospital sits just north at Bodelwyddan and handles most operations for the area. After you return home, our physiotherapists can continue your care there.
Housing includes Georgian and Victorian houses near the centre and newer estates around the edges. Some older homes have steep stairs and a raised front threshold.
Trefnant, to the south, is a village with a Victorian church designed by George Gilbert Scott. Its main road has pavements suited to daily walks.
Tremeirchion lies on the slopes of the Clwydian Range to the east. Its hillside lanes give fine views but are best saved for later in recovery.
Cefn Meiriadog and Waen are small rural communities west of the city. Homes there are spread out, so practice often starts indoors and in the garden.
Rhuallt, beside the A55 to the east, is a small hamlet at the foot of the hills. Many clients there aim to travel into St Asaph independently again.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.
