Physiotherapy Services in St Clears
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no St Clears premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
St Clears is a small market town in Carmarthenshire, where the River Cynin joins the Taf. It stands on the old route west into Pembrokeshire and was once a small port.
A Norman castle mound survives near the river at the southern end of the town. The grassy area around it is mostly level and quiet.
St Clears played a part in the Rebecca Riots of the 1840s, when local men disguised as women attacked toll gates. The story is still told proudly in the area.
The High Street has shops, a craft centre and cafes along gently sloping ground. It is a practical place to start walking outdoors after time at home.
Hospital care for the town is mainly provided at Glangwili General Hospital in Carmarthen, with Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest to the west. Our home visits continue your recovery afterwards.
Many homes are Victorian terraces and cottages with steps and steep stairs. Newer estates around the edges offer level access and more space.
Meidrim, to the north, is a small village around a square with a church. Its narrow roads suit clients who are already walking with confidence.
Bancyfelin and Llanddowror lie on the old road east and west of the town. Llanddowror is linked with Griffith Jones, founder of the Welsh circulating schools.
Llangynin is a small hill village to the north-west, with farms scattered on the slopes. Clients there often focus on movement in the home first.
Whitland and Pendine lie further west and south. Pendine Sands, a long beach famous for land speed records, offers firm sand for later walks.

Specialist home-based rehabilitation to improve movement, strength, balance and independence for people living with neurological conditions.

Helping older adults maintain mobility, strength and independence safely at home.

Safe, structured recovery after surgery to restore strength, mobility and function at home.
