Physiotherapy Services in Street
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Street premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Street is a large village in Somerset, just south of Glastonbury, best known as the birthplace of Clarks shoes. In 1825 Quaker brothers Cyrus and James Clark began making sheepskin slippers here, and the company grew into a world-famous brand that shaped the town's architecture and community life.
Clarks Village, the first purpose-built factory outlet centre in Britain, now occupies part of the old factory site and draws shoppers from far and wide. The Shoe Museum, in the original factory buildings, displays footwear through the ages.
Greenbank Pool, an open-air swimming pool built by the Clark family in 1937, is still popular in summer. The town's Quaker heritage is reflected in the Friends Meeting House and the absence of pubs for many years.
Millfield School, a large independent school founded in 1935, occupies a big site on the edge of town. Glastonbury Tor rises just to the north, while the Polden Hills and Walton Hill offer walking with wide views over the Levels.
Housing includes Victorian terraces, Clark-built workers' homes, post-war estates and newer developments. NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board organises care, and patients are usually treated at Yeovil District Hospital or Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. We continue rehabilitation at home.
Goals include shopping at Clarks Village, swimming at Greenbank or climbing Glastonbury Tor again.

Specialist home-based rehabilitation to improve movement, strength, balance and independence for people living with neurological conditions.

Helping older adults maintain mobility, strength and independence safely at home.

Safe, structured recovery after surgery to restore strength, mobility and function at home.
