Physiotherapy Services in Talgarth
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Talgarth premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Talgarth is a small market town in Powys, set at the northern foot of the Black Mountains. It lies within the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, with steep green slopes rising behind it.
Talgarth Mill, a restored water mill on the River Ennig, produces flour again and has a bakery and cafe. Its riverside setting makes a pleasant short outing.
The town centre around the square has a medieval tower house, shops and pubs. Streets slope down to the river, so we choose routes with care.
The large Mid Wales Hospital, a former asylum, stood just outside the town until it closed in 1999. Its site is now being redeveloped.
Bronllys community hospital is close by, and most surgery is carried out at Nevill Hall in Abergavenny or in Hereford. Our home visits continue your treatment afterwards.
Many homes are stone cottages and terraces with steps and steep stairs. We practise these features so daily life becomes safer.
Bronllys, just north-west, has a Norman castle tower and a church with a detached bell tower. Its lanes are fairly level.
Trefeca, to the south, is linked with Howell Harris, a leader of the Welsh Methodist revival. Its college is set among fields.
Llangorse lies to the south-west beside Llangorse Lake, the largest natural lake in south Wales. Its lakeside path is gentle in places.
Pengenffordd, Felindre and Llanfilo are small communities among the hills. Clients there often start with indoor exercises and garden practice.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.

Personalised, evidence-based nutrition and dietetic support delivered in the comfort of your home by an HCPC-registered dietitian.
