Tayport is a small town in north-east Fife, on the southern shore of the Firth of Tay. It looks straight across the water to Broughty Ferry and Dundee.
Before the Tay bridges were built, a ferry ran from Tayport across the firth. The harbour, now used by small boats, is a quiet place to sit and watch the water.
Two lighthouses known as the Pile Lights once guided ships up the Tay. One stands on the shore and the other in the water, and both are local landmarks.
The town has a grid of streets near the harbour, many of them fairly level. These make good routes for short daily walks with a purpose.
Most hospital care for Tayport is provided at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Once you are home, our physiotherapists can continue your rehabilitation.
Many homes are stone cottages and Victorian villas, while newer estates sit on the slopes behind. We adapt exercises to each type of home.
Tentsmuir Forest, to the south-east, is a large pine forest beside sandy beaches. Its forest tracks are wide and level, excellent for building stamina.
Kinshaldy Beach, at the edge of Tentsmuir, has a car park and paths to the shore. Walking on firm sand there is a pleasant later goal.
Newport-on-Tay and Wormit lie to the west, near the Tay road and rail bridges. Their streets climb steeply from the shore.
Leuchars and Forgan lie to the south, with Leuchars station on the main line. Taking the train from there is a practical goal for some clients.

Helping people living with persistent or complex pain improve function and quality of life.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.
