Physiotherapy Services in Tywyn
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Tywyn premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Tywyn is a seaside town on the Cardigan Bay coast of southern Gwynedd, within the Snowdonia National Park. A long sandy beach runs north and south from the promenade.
The Talyllyn Railway runs from Tywyn Wharf station up the Fathew valley to Nant Gwernol. In 1951 it became the first railway in the world to be saved and run by volunteers.
The Narrow Gauge Railway Museum at Wharf station displays engines and equipment from lines across Britain. Its level floors make it an easy indoor outing.
St Cadfan's Church, in the centre, holds the Cadfan Stone, which carries some of the earliest known writing in the Welsh language. The church itself dates back to the twelfth century.
The promenade is long, flat and wide, with shelters along the way. It is one of the best places locally for building walking stamina.
Tywyn has a small community hospital, while major surgery usually takes place at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor or Bronglais in Aberystwyth. We continue your care with visits at home.
The town centre is mostly level, with shops along High Street and College Green. Kerbs and narrow pavements give useful practice in stepping safely.
Homes range from Victorian terraces near the sea to bungalows on the edges of town. Many retired people live here, and we tailor plans to each home.
Bryncrug lies inland on the Fathew, with the Talyllyn line passing nearby. Abergynolwyn is a former slate village further up the valley.
Aberdyfi, to the south, is a pretty harbour village on the Dyfi estuary. Llanegryn and Rhoslefain lie north along the coast road.
Clients here often want to walk the promenade or ride the steam railway again. We set practical goals around stepping on and off a train safely.

Safe, structured recovery after surgery to restore strength, mobility and function at home.

Expert assessment and treatment of muscle, joint, bone and soft tissue (MSK) conditions at home.

Helping active people recover from sports injuries and safely return to sport and performance.
