Physiotherapy Services in Waltham Cross
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Waltham Cross premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Waltham Cross is a town in the borough of Broxbourne in south-east Hertfordshire, close to the boundary with Greater London. It sits on the western side of the Lea Valley.
The town takes its name from the Eleanor Cross, one of the memorials Edward I built in the 1290s to mark the resting places of his wife Eleanor's funeral procession. It still stands in the centre.
The pedestrianised High Street and the Pavilions shopping centre are level and busy. They give useful practice walking among crowds and stepping around obstacles.
Theobalds Park, to the west, was once the site of a great palace favoured by James I. For many years it was also home to Temple Bar, the old City of London gateway, before it returned to London.
The River Lee Navigation runs along the eastern edge of the town. Its towpath is flat and smooth, which makes it excellent for building walking stamina.
Planned surgery for local residents often takes place at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow or at Barnet Hospital. Our therapists continue your care in your own home.
The Lee Valley Park stretches north and south, with lakes, nature reserves and wide paths. Short circuits near the river are a good goal for recovering walkers.
Homes range from Victorian terraces and inter-war semis to modern flats near the station. We tailor stair work and transfers to each layout.
Cheshunt, to the north, is a larger town with its own shops and the Lee Valley White Water Centre nearby. Theobalds Grove has its own station on the line to London.
Waltham Abbey lies just across the river in Essex, with the abbey church where King Harold is said to be buried. Goffs Oak, Turnford and Flamstead End are residential areas to the north-west.
Many clients here commute or care for family, so we schedule visits around busy lives. Practical goals keep each session focused on daily tasks.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.

Personalised, evidence-based nutrition and dietetic support delivered in the comfort of your home by an HCPC-registered dietitian.
