Physiotherapy Services in West Bromwich
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no West Bromwich premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
West Bromwich is the main town of Sandwell, in the heart of the Black Country. Its housing reflects that industrial past: long rows of Victorian and Edwardian terraces around Greets Green and Hill Top, large interwar council estates such as Friar Park and Stone Cross, and a number of tower blocks near the centre. Terraced houses often have a narrow, steep stair and a step at the front door, while high-rise flats depend entirely on the lift working.
The town centre is built around the pedestrianised High Street, the New Square development and the bus station, with Midland Metro trams stopping at West Bromwich Central on the way between Wolverhampton and Birmingham. Getting to the tram stop, onto a bus or round the market is a common goal, and we practise the walking, standing and stepping involved rather than only exercising indoors.
Sandwell Valley Country Park, on the eastern side of the town, is a large green space with lakes, farm buildings and long paths, and many people like to walk there again after an operation. Dartmouth Park, closer to the centre, has shorter level routes that are useful as a first step. Albion fans sometimes have a more specific aim: getting to The Hawthorns and up to their seat.
Hospital care for West Bromwich is provided by Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals. Most acute services moved to the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick in 2024, and Sandwell General on Lyndon remains open for other care. Local NHS services are planned by the Black Country Integrated Care Board. We are an independent service, so we work alongside any NHS rehabilitation you have rather than replacing it.
