Physiotherapy Services in Winchcombe
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Winchcombe premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Winchcombe is a small Cotswold town in Gloucestershire, set in a valley below the escarpment north-east of Cheltenham. In Saxon times it was a royal centre of the kingdom of Mercia.
Sudeley Castle stands just south of the town in large gardens. Katherine Parr, the last wife of Henry VIII, lived here and is buried in the castle chapel.
St Peter's Church is known for its many carved grotesques around the outside walls. Visitors enjoy spotting the strange faces from the churchyard.
Hailes Abbey, the ruins of a Cistercian abbey, lies to the north-east. It was once a major pilgrimage site and is now cared for by English Heritage.
Hailes Street, High Street and Gloucester Street form the old centre, lined with stone houses. They are fairly level, which suits walking practice.
Cheltenham General Hospital and Gloucestershire Royal carry out most surgery for this area. Our physiotherapists visit you at home after discharge.
The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway stops at Greet, just north of the town. A heritage train ride is a pleasant goal later on.
Belas Knap, a Neolithic long barrow, lies high on the hill to the south. The climb is steep and suits only the final stages of recovery.
Many homes are Cotswold stone cottages with steep stairs and low doorways. We adapt exercises to each home.
Greet and Gretton lie to the north, while Sudeley sits by the castle. Hailes is a small hamlet near the abbey ruins.
Toddington has the main railway station and a ruined manor, while Gotherington lies towards Cheltenham. Their lanes are quiet but often narrow.

Safe, structured recovery after surgery to restore strength, mobility and function at home.

Expert assessment and treatment of muscle, joint, bone and soft tissue (MSK) conditions at home.

Helping active people recover from sports injuries and safely return to sport and performance.
