Physiotherapy Services in Wrexham
Home Physio And Rehab is based in Harrow, north-west London, and has no clinic or office in Wrexham. Every appointment is a home visit, and the physiotherapist who visits you may be based elsewhere and travel to your home. Whether we can see you depends on your postcode and on therapist availability at the time you ask.
Wrexham is the largest settlement in north Wales and became a city in 2022. Central areas such as Rhosddu and Hightown have dense Victorian terraces, while the former mining villages to the west, including Rhosllanerchrugog, Brymbo and Coedpoeth, climb steadily towards the hills and have many stone cottages with steps at the door. Borras, Acton and Gresford have more 1960s and 1970s houses and bungalows on gentler ground.
Acton Park and the woodland and riverside paths at Erddig, the National Trust estate south of the city, give good routes for gradually building how far you can walk. Further out, the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and the canal towpath near Trevor and Froncysyllte are popular with people who want a longer, flatter walk. Many people also want to get back to the shops on Hope Street or to a match at the Racecourse Ground, and these goals can be built into later sessions.
Wrexham Maelor Hospital is the main hospital for the area and is run by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. Some people near the border have surgery or follow-up in England, at hospitals in Chester or Oswestry, so their letters may come from more than one service. We are independent of NHS Wales and the NHS in England; please share any discharge letters you have.
