Physiotherapy Services in Coleshill
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Coleshill premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Coleshill is a small Warwickshire market town on a ridge above the River Cole, close to Birmingham Airport and the NEC. Its Georgian High Street keeps a historic feel despite the motorways nearby.
The High Street is broad and fairly level, with the parish church of St Peter and St Paul at one end. Near the church are the old pillory, stocks and whipping post, an unusual reminder of the past.
Walking from the church along the High Street and back is a good early goal. There are benches and shopfronts for a short rest.
Shustoke Reservoir, a few miles east, has a level path around the water and a sailing club. It is a calm place for building stamina.
Many patients from Coleshill have surgery at Heartlands Hospital or Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield, part of University Hospitals Birmingham. Others go to George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton.
Homes are a mix of older town houses, terraces and modern estates. We adapt each exercise to your stairs, furniture and garden.
Indoor exercises are included for wet days.
Coleshill Parkway station on the Birmingham to Nuneaton line has a large car park and step-free access, making train trips to Birmingham or Leicester realistic goals once walking improves. The Coleshill Leisure Centre and the Coleshill School are well-known local landmarks. Maxstoke Castle, a moated medieval castle, lies in farmland to the east, and the lanes around it are quiet and gently undulating. Kingsbury Water Park, a short drive north, has a network of flat paths around lakes with cafes, suitable for steady walking practice. Many locals work at the airport or the NEC, so returning to long periods of standing or walking is a frequent aim.
