Physiotherapy Services in Dunblane
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Dunblane premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Dunblane is a small cathedral city in the Stirling council area, set on the Allan Water north of Stirling. Its medieval cathedral, largely thirteenth century, stands at the heart of the old town.
The High Street winds down towards the river and holds independent shops and cafés. The Laighhills, a public park beside the Allan Water, offers open grass and level riverside paths.
A gold-painted postbox on the High Street marks Andy Murray's Olympic success, and the Dunblane Hydro hotel overlooks the town. Sheriffmuir, site of the 1715 battle, lies on the moorland above.
Housing includes historic stone houses near the cathedral, Victorian villas, and many post-war and modern homes on the slopes around the town. Steep lanes and steps are common near the old centre.
NHS Forth Valley and the Stirling and Clackmannanshire Health and Social Care Partnership provide statutory services. Dunblane patients are usually treated at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert, and we continue rehabilitation at home.
Dunblane station has trains to Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Common goals include walking down the High Street, round the cathedral or along the Allan Water through the Laighhills.
The Laighhills paths are level and close to the centre, which makes them a reliable first outdoor walk after surgery.
The climb back up from the river to the High Street is steep, so we often practise slopes nearby before attempting it.
Other everyday targets include the Braeport Centre, the Dunblane Centre on Stirling Road with its café and sports hall, and the walk from the railway station over the Allan Water bridge to the Mill Row shops, which together give a varied set of routes as recovery progresses.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.
