Physiotherapy Services in Egham
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Egham premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Egham is a town in the Runnymede borough of Surrey, on the south bank of the Thames close to Windsor. Its fame rests on Runnymede, the water meadows just outside the town where King John sealed Magna Carta in 1215. The National Trust land holds the Magna Carta memorial, the John F. Kennedy memorial and the Air Forces Memorial on Cooper's Hill above.
Egham High Street has shops, cafés and pubs, and the town is home to Royal Holloway, University of London, whose spectacular Founder's Building, inspired by a French château, stands on the hill at Englefield Green. The Thames Path and the Runnymede meadows give level riverside walks, while Windsor Great Park and Savill Garden lie just to the west.
Housing includes Victorian terraces near the centre, inter-war semis, large houses in Englefield Green and Virginia Water, and many student homes. Our patients range from students with sports injuries to older residents recovering from joint replacements.
Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board plans NHS services. Egham patients are usually treated at St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey or Wexham Park Hospital in Slough. Our private home physiotherapy continues their rehabilitation at home.
Egham station has trains to London Waterloo and Reading. Patients often want to walk to the High Street, stroll along the Thames at Runnymede or visit Windsor Great Park.
Egham sits beside the Thames close to Runnymede, where the meadows, the Magna Carta memorial and the John F. Kennedy memorial attract visitors from around the world. The Air Forces Memorial on Cooper's Hill looks out over the river towards Windsor Castle. Royal Holloway's Founder's Building, a vast French-chateau-style quadrangle, dominates Egham Hill. The Thames Path towards Staines is flat and well surfaced, and the lake at Virginia Water makes a longer circuit for those regaining endurance.
