Physiotherapy Services in Grantham
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Grantham premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Grantham is a market town in South Kesteven, Lincolnshire, on the East Coast Main Line. It is known for the tall spire of St Wulfram's Church, for Isaac Newton's schooldays at the King's School, and as the birthplace of Margaret Thatcher. The town centre around the High Street, Westgate and the market place is fairly compact, though some pavements are narrow and busy.
The River Witham runs through the town, and Wyndham Park beside it has level paths, a play area and a café, which make it a useful first outdoor goal. Belton House, the National Trust estate just to the north, is a longer-term target for people who enjoy walking. The Queen Elizabeth Park and the riverside walks through the town give options in between.
Housing includes Victorian terraces near the centre and Spittlegate, large post-war estates in Earlesfield and Harrowby, and newer developments around Poplar Farm and towards Gonerby Hill Foot. Harrowby and Great Gonerby sit on rising ground, so some streets are steep. Many people we see live in houses with a straight staircase and an upstairs bathroom, which shapes the first weeks after surgery.
Grantham and District Hospital provides a range of local services, while major surgery and emergency care often take place at Lincoln County Hospital or Pilgrim Hospital in Boston. NHS services are planned by the Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board. Because travel to those sites can be long, people often come home earlier than they expected, and we can help bridge the gap with practical work at home.
