We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Lymm premises to walk into. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Lymm is a large village in the Warrington borough of Cheshire, known for its picturesque centre built around a sandstone cross. Old cottages, pubs and shops cluster around the cross where the Dingle stream tumbles down.
Lymm Dam, a lake created when the turnpike road was built, sits just south of the centre. A path circles the water through woodland, and it is one of the most popular local walks for people of all abilities.
The Bridgewater Canal cuts through the middle of the village, with a level towpath that is ideal for regaining stamina after illness. Many of our patients set a goal of walking to the next bridge and back.
Lymm falls under NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board, and people are mostly treated at Warrington Hospital. Our private visits can take over once someone is discharged and keep their recovery on track.
Homes range from sandstone cottages near the cross to large detached houses in Oughtrington and estates on the edges of the village. Some older houses have uneven floors and tight staircases.
The village is close to the M6 and M56, and many residents drive. Practising getting in and out of the car, and walking across car parks, is often useful.
Statham, Heatley and Thelwall surround the centre, with quieter lanes and fields. Uneven pavements and narrow lanes without footpaths can be a challenge for people who are unsteady.

Rehabilitation of bones, joints, muscles and ligaments following injury, surgery or degenerative change.

Support to improve breathing, endurance and recovery for respiratory and cardiac conditions.

Helping people living with persistent or complex pain improve function and quality of life.
