Physiotherapy Services in Tain
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Tain premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Tain is a small town in Easter Ross, in the Highland council area, on the southern shore of the Dornoch Firth. It claims to be Scotland's oldest royal burgh, with a charter dating from 1066.
The town grew around the shrine of St Duthus, a medieval saint whose relics drew pilgrims including King James IV. The ruined chapel and the collegiate church still stand.
The Tolbooth, with its conical-roofed tower, dominates the High Street. The street is fairly level and lined with stone buildings, making it a good place to walk.
Glenmorangie distillery lies on the shore just north of the town. The links and shore paths nearby are flat and open to the firth.
Most surgery for Easter Ross takes place at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, with local services at the County Community Hospital in Invergordon. We continue your care at home afterwards.
Many homes are traditional stone houses with steep stairs, while newer estates lie on the edges. We adapt every exercise plan to your home.
Edderton, to the west along the firth, is a small village with a Pictish stone. Its quiet road offers a level walk.
Inver and Portmahomack lie on the Tarbat peninsula to the east. Portmahomack has a sandy beach and a harbour facing west.
Hill of Fearn and Balintore lie to the south-east. Balintore, a fishing village, has a seafront path for gentle walks.
Nigg, further south, looks across the Cromarty Firth. Clients in these villages often begin with indoor practice.
