Physiotherapy Services in Worsley
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Worsley premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Worsley is a historic village in Salford, where the Bridgewater Canal begins. The water here is stained orange by iron ore from the old mines, and the black-and-white timbered Packet House by the canal is one of Greater Manchester's best-known views.
Worsley Green, the site of the old canal yard, is now a peaceful grassed area with a memorial fountain. It is a pleasant destination for a short walk once people are getting stronger.
The canal towpath runs in both directions from the village, flat and well surfaced. It is ideal for building up walking confidence, and many patients set targets based on reaching the next bridge.
Worsley is part of NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board, and most residents are treated at Salford Royal Hospital. Our private visits can help bridge the gap between hospital care and full recovery at home.
The Roe Green Loopline, a disused railway turned into a path, links Worsley with Walkden and Monton. It is mostly level and traffic-free, a good choice for longer outdoor walks.
Homes range from period cottages around the green to large detached houses and modern estates in Boothstown and Ellenbrook. Many larger homes have stairs and bathrooms on upper floors, which we plan around.
The M60 and M62 run nearby, and many people drive. Getting in and out of the car and walking from the car park into shops are often included in rehabilitation.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.
