Physiotherapy Services in Bicester
Home Physio And Rehab is based in Harrow, north-west London, and has no clinic or office in Bicester. Every appointment is a home visit, and the physiotherapist who visits you may be based elsewhere and travel to your home. Whether we can see you depends on your postcode and on therapist availability at the time you ask.
Bicester is a market town in north Oxfordshire that has grown rapidly and is a designated garden town. Its historic centre around Sheep Street and the Market Square is compact and level, while large new neighbourhoods ring the town. Bicester Village outlet centre on the edge of town draws visitors from around the world.
Older homes are found near the centre and in Highfield and Southwold, while Bure Park and Langford Village date from recent decades, and Kingsmere and Elmsbrook are newer still. Many new-build homes have compact staircases and open-plan living spaces. We adapt our sessions to the layout and stairs of your home.
Garth Park near the centre has level paths and gardens, and the new estates include green corridors and footpaths. Bicester has two stations, with trains to London, Oxford and Birmingham. Goals often include walking into town, managing the train, or walking round the local estate paths again, and we plan each in stages.
Hospital care for Bicester is mainly provided in Oxford, with some services at Bicester Community Hospital. We are independent of the NHS, so please share your discharge summary and any precautions. We then build exercises around your recovery from surgery, a stroke, a fall or illness.
St Edburg's Church dates back to Saxon times, and the Market Square still hosts a weekly market. Garth Park, beside the centre, has level paths and gardens, and Bicester Heritage restores classic cars on a former RAF airfield. Many clients want to walk to the shops, visit Garth Park or catch a train from one of the two stations. We build strength and stamina indoors first, then outside in stages. Pingle Field and Bure Park nature reserve offer level green space, and many residents travel to Oxford for work, leisure and appointments.
